For your admission to hospital, here is a checklist of things you should consider bringing with you.
For Maternity:
- Nighties/dressing gown
- Comfortable day clothing
- Comfortable footwear – slippers may be ideal
- Toileteries, including sanitary pads – maternity pads would be ideal
- Maternity bras, Nursing pads
Things for the birth:
- Camera
- Music – iPod/iPhone docking station is available in each birthing room
- Comfortable clothing
Things for the new baby:
- Nappies
- Baby clothes
- Bunny rug
For Gynaecology day procedures:
- Previous imaging (e.g. ultrasounds)
- Sanitary pads
For Gynaecology inpatient procedures:
- Nighties/dressing gown
- Comfortable day clothing
- Comfortable footwear
- Sanitary pads
To assist with the hospital admission process, please also remember to bring:
- Your Medicare Card
- Your Private Insurance Membership Card (if applicable)
Please try to leave your valuables at home, to minimise the risk of theft.
